Emergencies occur in our homes, community and the workplace. Emergency team rescuers gain the knowledge and psychomotor skills on how to recognize emergencies and start first responder CPR, First Aid and the use of an A.E.D. Courses are taught by medical professionals at your location and include American Heart Association completion cards valid for 2 years.
Heartsaver AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)
This course teaches one rescuer CPR, AED use, and relief of choking in adults and children including use of barrier devices in all ages.
Heartsaver First Aid with CPR/AED Course
This class teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED, and Environmental Emergencies.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid
Caregivers and teachers need to know what to do when a child is injured or becomes suddenly and severely ill. Most injuries that require first aid are not life-threatening. Usually, first aid involves simple, common sense procedures. However, first aid can sometimes mean the difference between life and death. This course is designed to give caregivers the education and confidence that they need to effectively care for children.
BLS for Healthcare Provider
This course is designed for those in the healthcare field or lifeguards. This course teaches one and two-person rescuer for the adult, child and infant victims, rescue breathing, obstructed airways, barrier devices, airway adjuncts and AED use.
Hepatitis B Vaccination Program
About 1/3 of people who are infected with hepatitis B in the U.S. don’t know how they got it. Employees who respond to emergencies in the workplace can potentially be exposed to infected blood or body fluid. Three doses of the vaccine are needed to complete the vaccination.
This course focuses on the use of supplemental Oxygen equipment through lecture, video, demonstration and hands-on practice. Participants learn to safely use resuscitation and bag-valve masks, supplemental oxygen cylinders, regulatory and delivery devices and suction devices.
